Barbara Gross

Interim Head of Development
Barbara Gross

Raised in the Cleveland area, Barbara received her BA from Bowdoin College and initially pursued a career in advertising and public relations in New York. After many years of managing marketing campaigns for Honey Nut Cheerios and other equally delicious consumer products, she decided to seek professional fulfillment in the development field—with the objective of tikkun olam through the power of philanthropy. With a move to Boston, a highly rewarding career ensued at some of the area's leading institutions, including Wellesley College, Phillips Academy/Andover, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Facing History & Ourselves. Barbara is the founder of BDG Consulting, a firm specializing in development counsel to nonprofits, and currently serves as Harvard Hillel's acting Head of Development, where she is thrilled to have the opportunity to guide the program and talented professional team. Extra-curricularly, Barbara is active with the Philanthropy Connection, Invest to Elect, and the Pan-Mass Challenge.
