Hi - my name is Rachel and I'm a junior in Pforzheimer House. I study psychology and history, and am particularly interested in the intersection of law and mental illness. I am from New York City and graduated from the Ramaz Upper School. I spent a gap year at Migdal Oz, an Israeli seminary in Gush Etzion. In addition to serving as president of Hillel, I am an editorial writer on the board of The Crimson, Harvard's daily newspaper. I also serve as a Student Mental Health Liaison. My interests include reading, writing and journalism, Israeli politics, tennis, social service, and traveling. I am looking forward to a great year at Hillel, and please feel free to reach out with any questions, ideas, or concerns!
Hi! My name is Ari Berman and I am a sophomore in Pforzheimer House studying government. I'm originally from Los Angeles, California and attended Harvard-Westlake prior to coming here. I love reading, writing plays, public policy, and watching The West Wing! In addition to being the VP of Community Building, I am also the co-gabbai of Student Conservative Minyan. I'm so excited for this year, and I hope we can sit down over coffee and chat about what you want this year to look like!
Hello! I am a sophomore in Mather House pursuing a joint concentration in history and NELC. As VP of Community Relations, I look forward to building a warm and dynamic conversation with other faith groups on campus. I am active in Hillel outside of this position and also organize events for the Orthodox Student Minyan (OSM) and the Jewish Women's group. In my spare time I enjoy studying languages and traveling. I look forward to working with you all.
Hi there, I'm Caroline, a sophomore in Currier House studying history of science. I'm originally from Durham, North Carolina. In addition to being VP of Holidays, I am an active member in the Student Conservative Minyan and Challah for Hunger. Outside of Hillel, I can be found on the parliamentary debate team and being a Peer Advising Fellow. Feel free to reach out with any questions about Hillel, holidays, or anything else!
Hello! I am from Baltimore, Maryland, where I attended Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School. After spending a year and a half learning at Yeshivat Orayta in the Old City of Yerushalayim, I am now studying at Harvard University. While avoiding declaring my concentration, I enjoy playing piano, trying to play guitar, supervising at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, and running by the Charles River. I can't wait to celebrate Shabbat with the Harvard Hillel community every week in my new position on the Steering Committee.
Hi! My name is Lilly. I'm a freshman and I hope to concentrate in history of science. I'm from Connecticut, but went to high school in Riverdale, NY. Last year, I took a gap year in Israel volunteering and learning. I love playing basketball, reading, and (obviously) social service! The Hillel community is so welcoming and fun and I'm so excited to be a part of the SC. I can't wait for all our upcoming events, and I would love to hear any ideas you might have!
Hi! I'm Sarah and I'm a freshman living in Thayer! I'm interested in studying biology and math and also very excited to be joining Hillel as the Vice President of Communications this semester. I grew up in New York City, but have loved living in Cambridge and being a part of the Harvard Hillel community. I'm looking forward to an amazing year ahead, and please feel free to email me to stay in touch!
