Human Resources
Among our most prized accomplishments is the number of distinguished teachers and rabbis that compose our diverse Educational staff. These educators are committed to substance and relevance when relating to students.
Harvard Hillel is also able to boast a large multi-purpose public space designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie. The shape of the building reflects Hillel's philosophy: openness, diversity and unity. The facility also includes a full kosher kitchen and dining room, as well as intimate social space and library.
Our model pluralistic community includes five minyanim, Jewish faculty and staff as well as a close network with the Cambridge and Boston Jewish community. Harvard Hillel acts as a resource to Harvard in many respects. Not only is it open for counseling support, but the collaboration on events with other Harvard student organizations and faculty committees acts to strengthen both Harvard and Hillel. Seven Hillel chaplains are members of the United Ministry, and Hillel maintains high visibility in graduation, inauguration and other public events.
Financial Resources
Hillel's current funding relies heavily on individual and foundation support.
