As chief operating officer, Annette oversees the financial, administrative, and general operations of Harvard Hillel and key programs such as the Harvard College Israel Trek. She came to Harvard Hillel in 2002 from Temple Beth Zion in Brookline, where she was the Temple Administrator at a time of re-building and trememdous growth. She transistioned to the nonprofit world after many years in the travel and tourism industry in Israel and the United States. In Israel, Annette was part of a team that introduced the international, corporate incentive business to Israel and specialized in special interest groups and international conventions. Annette is a graduate of Tel Aviv University's School of Social Work. Post-graduation, she worked for several years as a social worker and community organizer in an underserved neighborhood in Israel. She was born in Karachi, Pakistan, where she lived until her late teens. She has fond and vivid memories of Karachi and its warm and vibrant Jewish community.
