Gerald Zuriff first joined Harvard Hillel when he arrived at Harvard in 1964 studying for a PhD in psychology. His primary affiliation at Harvard Hillel has been with the Orthodox Minyan although he has been involved in activities outside that minyan as well. The Harvard Hillel Orthodox Minyan has been his regular synagogue now for 53 years, and he has served as Orthodox Board treasure, secretary, historian, chair, as well as gabbai, paginator, and announcer. In addition to his Hillel activities, he also found time to serve as Professor of Psychology and Chair of the Psychology Department at Wheaton College until his retirement in 2008. Concurrently he held a position as a clinical psychologist at the MIT Mental Health Service. He currently maintains a part-time private clinical practice in Harvard Square. He lives in Cambridge with Elizabeth Van Ranst.
