Harvard Hillel Provides
a home for Jewish life on campus.

Hillel Building

Our doors are always open. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to study, a warm meal with friends, or your next meaningful Jewish experience, you’ll find it here.

  • A warm, inviting space where students gather to eat, study, and build community
  • A center for compelling Jewish experiences that bridge all backgrounds and practices
  • A place where students take on leadership roles that shape their Jewish identities
  • A sanctuary amid campus tensions, offering safety and belonging

Harvard Hillel Empowers
the next generation of Jewish leaders.

In an increasingly divided Jewish world, we prepare leaders who can unite communities:

  • We entrust students with real responsibility for shaping Jewish life on campus
  • We support our undergraduate president in speaking for campus Jewry in the Crimson and beyond
  • We provide meaningful leadership opportunities that shape students’ college experience
  • We train the next generation to lead thoughtfully across Jewish differences

Harvard Hillel Spearheads
the fight against antisemitism at Harvard.

At a time when antisemitic incidents have risen dramatically across campus, Harvard Hillel:

  • Supports dozens of students through Harvard’s complaint process
  • Brings comprehensive antisemitism training programs to campus
  • Pushes the institution to implement recommendations from the Antisemitism Task Force and beyond
  • Hosts weekly strategy lunches for Jewish and Israeli students, staff, and faculty to share experiences, organize responses, and develop effective tactics

Harvard Hillel Advocates
on behalf of Jewish Harvard students.

Our work extends beyond individual incidents to address systemic concerns:

  • Shaping policies around Jewish student admissions
  • Expanding Jewish Studies course offerings
  • Securing unprecedented support from President Garber condemning anti-Zionist exclusion
  • Leading implementation of the antisemitism task force recommendations
  • Addressing the most challenging anti-Israel sentiments on campus

Harvard Hillel Nurtures
Jewish community at Harvard.

From daily minyanim to weekly Shabbat dinner, we ensure Jewish tradition thrives at Harvard by:

  • Maintaining essential Jewish infrastructure: daily minyanim, kosher dining, and holiday celebrations
  • We house vibrant Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox services, respecting all paths of Jewish practice
  • We provide rabbinical guidance for life’s moments of joy, loss, questioning, and growth
  • We create spaces where students can both honor their Jewish upbringing and explore new traditions

Harvard Hillel Stands
as the face of Israel at Harvard.

We are Israel’s home on Harvard’s campus:

  • We employ an Israel Fellow who supports the entire university’s Israeli community
  • We host weekly lunches for Israeli and pro-Israel students
  • We provide a home where Israeli students can gather and connect
  • We lead powerful vigils that unite our community in times of crisis, bringing together hundreds – including University leadership – in demonstrations of moral clarity and loving solidarity

Harvard Hillel Builds
bridges to our non-Jewish neighbors.

With social media increasingly shaping campus narratives about Israel, Hillel creates meaningful connections through:

  • Student-led initiatives bringing thousands of non-Jewish students into contact with Jewish life
  • On-campus programs that make Israel education engaging and accessible
  • Transformative trips that bring non-Jewish students to Israel through Trek
  • Educational journeys to Poland and Hungary that tell Israel’s story in a broader context

Harvard Hillel Mobilizes
alumni concern into meaningful change.

For donors concerned about Harvard’s response to antisemitism, we offer a proven path forward:

  • We maintain the relationships and institutional knowledge needed to create lasting change
  • We advocate daily for Jewish religious, social, and intellectual life at Harvard
  • We transform donor support into direct action through programming and long-term advocacy
  • A dollar given to Harvard Hillel is the best way to support Jewish life at Harvard – through day-to-day programming and long-term advocacy
Harvard Hillel
Harvard Hillel is the center and catalyst for Jewish life on the Harvard campus. Every day, we empower the Jewish students, faculty, and alumni of Harvard to write the next chapter of our people’s history, and to improve the world - together.
