Yom HaZikaron Commemoration

Last night we gathered to remember.

Harvard Hillel and Harvard Chabad held a joint Yom Hazikaron ceremony, led by students, shaped by personal stories, and closed with Hatikva. Israeli students shared memories and lit candles. We heard a reading from Rachel Goldberg Polin’s eulogy for her son Hersh. Rav Jason recited El Maleh Rachamim. Apichorus led the room in a Mi Sheberach.

And before it all, guests honored fallen soldiers through “Matkon Em Zikaron” — tasting the favorite desserts of those we’ve lost.
