One last #GivingTuesday ask: help us cross the finish line
Dear beloved fellow members of Harvard’s Jewish community,
I hope my message finds you, and those you love, well.
I’ll keep this short – I know you’ve heard a lot from us today.
As Giving Tuesday draws to a close, we’re so close to our $40,000 goal. We’ve raised just over $30,000 of gifts so far and together I know we can make it across the finish line before midnight.
If you haven’t yet seen our #GivingTuesday video, I hope you’ll take a moment to watch it – it’ll do your heart good:
There is nothing more important, more timeless, or more powerful than coming together – across denominations, across class years, across every kind of difference. This isn’t just about being in the same place at the same time: deep values of connection and dignity undergird our community, and students are living those values with and for one another every day here.
As Miriam ‘28 shares in our video, “it’s so special to be in a place that’s so warm and welcoming, where people ask you your name and where you’re from and what you care about – and they remember and they check up on you and they’re like, ‘Oh, hey, I know you weren’t feeling good last week. How are you doing now?’ Things like that are so special and make you feel like you’re not alone.”
Week after week, students show up hungry, and they leave connected and nourished in body and soul. These relationships are a cornerstone of Jewish life at Harvard, and your support is what makes them possible.
Help us keep Bagel Brunch going strong for another academic year – and keep bringing our students into the endless tradition of caring participation that is at the heart of what it means to be Jewish, in every generation.
YES! I want to support Bagel Brunch
You can also donate by check, through a DAF, or with a gift of stock. You can find all the details here.
THANK YOU for everything you make possible for our students.
With gratitude,
Rabbi Jason Rubenstein
