There’s always something fun and Jewish happening at Harvard! You’ll find your next Shabbat dinner, picnic on the river, or dose of Jewish wisdom right here.
We would be honored to have you join us for an evening in memory of Major Eyal Avnion (z”l).
Eyal’s parents, Avi and Sharon, will share the story of their son through his own words – the letters, messages and journal entries he left behind, and the values, leadership and humanity that guided his life.
The evening also marks ‘In His Way’, a journal created in Eyal’s spirit and lined with his questions, his reflections and his thoughts, made to inspire Israeli youth. The project aims to give a journal to every 18-year-old in Israel.

Thursday nights are for pre-Shabbat learning, lively conversation, and connecting with friends. Drop in for a short teaching from a student or rabbi, dive into a Jewish text or question, and ease into Shabbat together.
Over breakfast, we’ll bring questions from our lives (interpersonal, spiritual, or intellectual) and think through them using Jewish and non-Jewish texts that offer multiple ways of considering what’s at stake.
Spend Shabbat afternoon learning together over Seudah Shlishit with Ezra Klausner, our Orthodox Rabbinic Intern. Come for good food, good conversation, and a chance to dive into Jewish texts and ideas in a relaxed Shabbat setting.
